1. Who we are

FreshKart India Private Limited ("FreshKart", "we", "us", "our") operates this website and the loan application services described on it. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — full name, email address, phone number, and a hashed password when you register.
• Loan application information — loan type, requested amount, purpose, group details (if applicable), state, city, PIN code, address, and monthly income if provided.
• Documents you upload — ID proof, address proof, and other supporting documents submitted with your application.
• Payment information — the payment screenshot and UPI reference (UTR) number you submit for the application-processing charge. We do not ask for or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login — please make sure your screenshot does not show them.
• Technical information — standard web request data (IP address, browser type) and a bot-verification signal (Cloudflare Turnstile) used to protect our forms from automated abuse.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account, including verifying your email via a one-time code.
• To process and review your loan application, and to contact you about its status.
• To send transactional emails — OTP codes, password reset links, and application status updates.
• To verify the application-processing charge you paid.
• To protect our forms against spam and automated abuse.
• To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

4. How we store and protect your information

Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon). Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed before being saved. Uploaded documents are stored securely and are only accessible to authorised FreshKart personnel reviewing your application.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with:

• Resend — our email delivery provider, to send OTPs and transactional emails.
• Cloudflare — to verify form submissions are made by a real person, not a bot.
• Authorities or regulators, where required by law.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at freshkartindialoan@gmail.com. Note that we may need to retain certain records (such as application and payment history) for as long as required by applicable financial recordkeeping law.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies to verify you're not a bot. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. See our Terms of Use for more.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
